Made in the Davis Mountains area of the Big Bend in the middle of winter. This area doesn’t exhibit fall colors - it just goes brown for the winter. I’ve painted with red and yellow lights to play with and evoke the the palette of a far away landscape onto this one.
A tribute to Steve Harper and the rock he photographed in the 70s and brought so many students to photograph ever since.
This rock formation was briefly lit up by the brake lights of a truck passing by and braking at just the right moment.
Mobius Strip was made in the Alabama Hills area of California. The arch and passage of time evoke the never ending continuum of the German mathematicians’ mobius strip.
