LUNAR
I often work on the darkest, moonless nights. I am also drawn to extreme desert landscapes; the kind of places that can make you feel like you’re standing on the moon. Even from there, it’s easy to look up and forget that the moon doesn’t actually glow. It only seems too. The botanical subjects of this series are "painted" with flashlights to evoke a similar sensation, suggesting they too emit their own light and personality.
